Experience
Matt is a highly experienced IT and business manager, with more than 15 years working for New Zealand and UK businesses and organisations. He has performed management consulting roles across the IT, health, iwi, financial and insurance sectors. Matt is currently a member of the Institute of Directors in Christchurch and the NZ Computer Society. He currently holds CobiT Foundation certification and has a master's degree in social sciences and postgraduate diplomas in marketing and business management.
Over the last 10 years Matt has worked for a number of management consulting companies. He was a consultant at KPMG in Auckland providing project management, change management and business process re-engineering services.
About
Matt is a charismatic leader with excellent interpersonal skills. He is highly motivated and focused on delivering good outcomes to all parties. Matt is an active member of the Ashley/Loburn communities where he has a lifestyle block. Alongside his passion for coaching junior rugby, he also plays rugby for Ashley along with his three sons. Matt also enjoys tramping, mountain biking and travelling with family.
Area of Expertise
With his extensive IT management experience, Matt specialises in IT strategic planning. Always a planner, he has been an integral part of development of the Effectus IT strategy offering and is frequently involved as lead consultant to develop IT strategies and plans for clients. He has also been actively involved in setting up and fine tuning our project management and business analysis service offerings. He works well with senior executive teams, helping them to establish IT Governance structures and policy, and improve process and accountability.
