Experience
Stuart is a highly experienced IT and business manager, with over 20 years working for New Zealand and UK businesses and organisations. He has performed IT management roles across the agribusiness, defence and charity sectors. He is a member of ISACA, the worldwide association of IS professionals dedicated to the audit, control, and security of information systems. He has a master's degree in business administration, with distinction.
Over the last 20 years Stuart has held senior IT management positions in Project and Programme Management, Software Development and Commercialisation, and Security Management.
About
Stuart has strong leadership skills with exceptional interpersonal skills. He is passionate about IT and management and enjoys the challenges of communicating his comprehensive knowledge of IT and the application of technology to evolve and strengthen IT and business services. Stuart recently relocated to Christchurch from Dunedin and is enjoying exploring Christchurch with his family. Stuart enjoys mountain biking and keeping fit. He also volunteers for a number of charities in his spare time.
Area of Expertise
With his extensive IT management experience, Stuart specialises in IT strategy planning, service management, organisational change management and security governance. He is respected by executive and IT teams for his in-depth understanding of business processes, his quick assimilation of strategic intent and his successful development of both strategic policies and operational plans. He helps them to establish IT Governance structures, and improve process and accountability. Stuart is also referred to as the ‘digital evangelist’ in recognition for his work developing digital strategies and leading digital projects across NZ. He is passionate about digital services and is often called upon to present and lead discussions on how digital services can transform a business, grow a community or create new opportunities.
