We are in a New Year, we are refreshed and raring to go but we know before too long we will no doubt be time poor. Key to keeping ourselves fresh is to plan for any professional development opportunities for the year including relevant thought leadership events. So, as we arrive at our desks in 2019 what have we got to look forward to in terms of conference and general networking opportunities? Depending on what your role is here are a few of my picks (Note – my special interest is Governance & Strategy).
Effectus Ltd is pleased to announce Alex Skinner is joining its board as an Independent Director, effective from October 1st, 2018. Alex brings a wealth of experience to the Effectus board across a wide range of business activity including professional services, corporate governance, risk management, process improvement and stakeholder engagement. Most recently Alex was managing partner of KPMG’s Christchurch office, an audit partner and now holds several board appointments.
Effectus Ltd would like to welcome Nikki Rickenberg to the team. Nikki has joined us as Financial Manager and brings with her more than 20 years finance experience across multiple countries. As a qualified Chartered Global Management accountant, and prior to joining Effectus in 2018, Nikki held the role of Finance Director for OSN, the leading entertainment network in the Middle East and North Africa.
For the last 11 years Effectus has built a strong presence in IT Management & Governance Consulting throughout New Zealand of which I am very proud. When we celebrated our 10-year anniversary I reflected on how much had been achieved, including founding the EPIC Innovation Centre, and I predict another fulfilling decade ahead of us with specific focus on supporting our customers with disruption and transformation.
Effectus Celebrated being in business for 10 years at a function held in the EPIC Building on the 1stof September 2017. Owner and founder, Colin Andersen spoke of the journey which included surviving through the Christchurch Earthquakes moving offices 6 times until finally moving into the EPIC building.
